June 12, 20261:1 Conversation With Gabby
The Desire For Life
Duration: 50 minutes
Price: £150
Setting: Online
Frequency: One-off
A private 50 minute meeting. For the thing you keep going round in circles with. Maybe there’s a behaviour you don’t understand. Maybe something happened and you can’t quite work out why it’s affecting you the way it is. Maybe you’re doing considerably better than you were, but there’s still a part of your life that feels… off. Or maybe you’ve never actually said the whole thing out loud because it feels embarrassing, complicated, contradictory, or like nobody would really get it. Bring me that. This is a private one-to-one conversation where we get properly curious about what’s going on — without assuming there’s something wrong with you because of it.
One of the biggest things my own recovery taught me is that the behaviours we desperately want to get rid of usually make a lot more sense when we understand what they’ve been doing for us.
The drinking that made you confident.
The food that gave you five minutes of quiet.
The ridiculous independence that meant nobody could disappoint you.
The humour that made sure nothing ever got too serious.
Whatever yours is. So I’m not going to ask you: “Why can’t you just stop?” I’m much more interested in: “What does this give you that your life currently doesn’t?” And then we go from there. Understanding it is one thing. The more interesting question is whether what it’s giving you is actually what you’re looking for.
What Happens On The Call?
We talk. Properly. I’ll ask questions. I’ll challenge things when I think there’s something worth looking at. I’ll tell you what I’m noticing. We’ll connect dots together and look at what’s happening outside the behaviour too — your relationships, routines, environment, confidence, connection, work, movement, whatever is actually relevant to your life. We’ll figure it out together. By the end, I want you to understand something about yourself that you didn’t when you arrived — and have a clearer idea of what you want to do with that understanding.
Before We Speak
When you book, I’ll ask you a few questions. Tell me what’s happening. Tell me what you can’t quite make sense of. Tell me what you’ve tried. And tell me what you’d love to be different. You don’t need to make it eloquent. I would genuinely rather have the messy truth. It means I can think about you before we meet, rather than meeting you for the first time when the clock starts.
Why Me?
I’ve spent a lot of my life being the person on the other side of conversations like this. Addiction. Trauma. Disordered eating. Trying to look completely fine while very much not being fine. My lived experience is why I care about this work. My training is why lived experience isn’t the only thing I bring to it. I’ve trained in counselling skills, trauma-informed coaching and embodied processing, and I founded Embody because I wanted to build the kind of recovery support I wish existed when I needed it. Not another place telling people what’s wrong with them, just to breathe or meditate. Somewhere interested in why it makes sense. And what life could look like next. I’m a recovery mentor, not your therapist or doctor. I won’t diagnose you, clinically treat trauma, manage medication or pretend something is within my expertise when it isn’t. If I think something deserves support beyond my scope, I’ll tell you.
Discrete & Confidential
Private means private. Some of the things people trust me with are things they’ve never told anybody. I don’t take that lightly. Your story does not become social media content because you booked a call with me. I don’t share client experiences or testimonials without explicit permission, and the full limits of confidentiality and safeguarding are set out before we work together.
You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong. You just need to know there’s something you’d like to understand or talk about.
This Is For You If
You keep having the same argument with yourself and getting nowhere.
There’s something you do that makes absolutely no sense to you.
You’re technically “doing better,” but something still doesn’t feel right.
You want to talk about something without being shamed, judged or made to feel worse.
You know what you do and you’d quite like to understand why.
There’s something going on and you want another human being to help you make sense of it.
You don’t need to be in crisis or arrive with a beautifully articulated problem. We'‘ll figure it out together.
